Defining an Artist

If we asked you to define an artist, you may hear words like "Creator", "Vibrant", "Original". To us, those are qualities. What defines an artists is their "Ability to implement a new idea".

Whether you are a musician, painter, dancer, or in any other genre, there is always a gap between the idea, and the actuality of it happening. Many artists have the ability to mimic something, which does take a lot of talent, but the creation of something completely new is where successful artists separate themselves.

Many of us continue to put out pieces of art, but they never seem to come out the way we wanted them to. We see this vision in our head, fueled from emotion, and want to display that. For the majority of artists, the piece doesn't come up the way they wanted it. That is where the battlefield of being an artist is formed.

If you can bridge that gap, and put out a piece that no one has ever seen before, then you are a real artist. However, getting to that point is timely, and requires tremendous dedication. Our message to artists is - to continue trying to bridge that gap. Be relentless in displaying your idea the way you imagined it. Constantly put out artwork until what you have created matches what you imagined. From that point on, you are an artists; A real artist.
